About the Area:
The SW10 postcode district lies within the London Boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea and takes in areas including Chelsea, and West Brompton. SW10’s Kings Road is a famous shopping destination and SW10 could also be considered to be the capital’s kitchen; it has the highest concentration of restaurants of anywhere in London, offering cuisine from every corner of the world.
The majority of properties in the area are flats, with a preponderance of newly built luxury apartments or conversion flats oozing with character. Detached houses are very few and far between, accounting for less than 1% of the area’s properties and as a result, SW10 is popular with young professionals and retirees. The most desirable part of Chelsea is around Sloane Square and Knightsbridge tube station, where Chelsea meets Knightsbridge. It has some of the most expensive and lavish property in London.
Transport:
West Brompton and Fulham Broadway stations provide London underground District Line services to Wimbledon in the South and Edgware Road and Upminster to the North and East. It is possible also to change at Earls Court station for underground trains to Ealing Broadway and Richmond as well as Kensington Olympia. The West London Line also provides London Overground Network train services from West Brompton and Kensington Olympia stations between Willesden Junction, Clapham Junction and Croydon.
