Dalston is within the London Borough of Hackney and is one of the most vibrant and diverse places you could hope to find. Dalston’s a short stone’s throw from the City and a bus ride to all the facilities and amenities of the West End. A third of the borough is made up of parks and open spaces, making it one of the greenest areas in the capital and with the transport improvements that are underway, more and more people are to moving to Hackney.

Architecturally, Dalston is principally a mixture of Edwardian and Victoria terraced houses.  Much of the 20th century social housing – particularly the area’s tower blocks – has been demolished to make way for smart new developments aimed at the area’s burgeoning population of young professionals.  Former warehouses have been transformed into loft apartments and there is a predominance of affordable 1 bedroom and two bedroom flats.
